Greg Hoehner

Working with Wentworth since: 2014.

Background and experience: Began career as an instructor of English as a second language and business communications in commercial institutions. Moved to several in-house learning and talent development roles aimed at planning and delivering the right learning to employees to raise job performance and professional growth. Last role was as a group Learning and Talent Development Consultant at Standard Chartered Bank.

Facilitation style: Begins with a joint appreciation of the participants’ desired learning outcomes as driven by business needs. Working toward this end state, participants are offered frameworks and tools, which groups then practice in dynamic, realistic ways. Facilitation is friendly and personal, with a lot of encouragement to be open to new possibilities and ways of working.

Main areas of expertise: Supervisory and leadership skills, team effectiveness and personal effectiveness. Group facilitation of off-site meetings to lead participants to create their preferred vision, values, strategy, as well as complex problem solutions.

Passionate about: The fact that anyone can learning anything during one’s lifetime to improve one’s life and performance. I am excited that in our day we are beginning to crack some of the mysteries of human performance through discoveries in neuroscience and psychology.

Most enjoyable work project and why: Designing and delivering a collaborative management workshop for senior leaders of a multinational travel company. Through close design consultancy with the client, we created a workshop that led participants to draft the first-ever statement of the management philosophy and principles that the company wanted managers to embody.
